Director of Digital Marketing

What the Role Is

Super Star Car Wash is seeking a Director of Digital Marketing to lead and execute innovative digital strategies that drive growth and enhance customer engagement. This role will be responsible for developing and implementing digital marketing plans focused on acquisition, retention, and brand awareness. By staying ahead of industry trends and leveraging personalized, data-driven campaigns, the Director will collaborate with creative teams to produce engaging content and manage cross-channel campaigns that align with the company’s objectives.

Additionally, the Director will oversee the creation and management of performance dashboards to track key metrics and optimize campaigns through data analysis and A/B testing. They will also ensure cross-functional alignment across departments, sharing insights and best practices to ensure consistency in brand execution and drive the success of digital initiatives. This is a key leadership role aimed at driving transformative digital change within the company.

*Hybrid Role - 3 days in office/2 days remote

What You’ll Be Doing

Strategic Leadership & Innovation

  • Advocate for the digital vision across the organization, turning strategic ideas into actionable plans with measurable outcomes

Performance Marketing

  • Develop and execute performance marketing strategies across digital channels (e.g., search, social, display, affiliate) to drive customer acquisition, engagement, and retention.
  • Analyze and optimize campaigns continuously to ensure maximum ROI, leveraging data insights and performance metrics.
  • Manage and allocate digital media budgets to ensure effective spend while maximizing return on investment.
  • Implement and refine conversion tracking mechanisms to measure campaign performance and make data-driven recommendations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on key messaging and digital strategies.
  • A/B test and iterate on creatives, landing pages, and audience segments to enhance campaign effectiveness.
  • Own and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as CPA, ROAS, LTV, and customer churn to guide marketing decisions and report on performance.
  • Stay current with the latest trends and tools in digital marketing, including search engine marketing (SEM), paid social, and programmatic advertising.
  • Identify opportunities for growth through new channels, audience targeting, and emerging technologies in performance marketing.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of digital marketers to execute multi-channel marketing campaigns effectively.

Social Media

  • Execute and social campaigns that drive engagement, acquisition and retention.
  • Collaborate with creative teams to produce digital-native assets, aligning social media strategies with overall marketing objectives and brand voice.
  • Manage content calendar, launch new platforms, and create interactive content that resonates with the audience.
  • Own influencer and content creator strategy, negotiation, measurement and execution

Analytics & Optimization

  • Institute and manage digital performance dashboards (e.g., Funnel.io, Domo, Tableau) to track KPIs and ROI/ROAS.
  • Analyze performance data to derive actionable insights and optimize campaigns through A/B testing and other methods.
  • Lead the transition and optimization of marketing technologies to drive efficiency and impact.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Coordinate efforts across departments to ensure alignment on goals and consistency in brand execution.
  • Share insights, best practices, and develop a collaborative approach to achieving business objectives.

What We’re Looking For

Required Experience

  • Education: Bachelor’s in marketing, Business, or related field.
  • Experience: 8+ years in digital marketing leadership with a focus on performance marketing, ideally in multi-unit retail industries like QSR, gyms, or consumer retail.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead innovative digital strategies that drive growth in acquisition, retention, and brand awareness, while staying ahead of industry trends to enhance customer engagement and retail traffic.
  • Execute data-driven campaigns across paid media and social platforms, collaborating with creative teams to manage content calendars and launch engaging platforms that boost conversions.
  • Experience building performance dashboards and use data analysis and A/B testing to optimize campaigns, driving efficiency through technology transitions.
  • Experience with customer mobile apps and CRM systems is preferred but not mandatory.
